Forecasters issued an alert warning of a chance of rain, high winds and blowing dust affecting parts of the country on Monday. The yellow alert is in force between 6.45am and 11am in the north and east in an area stretching from Dubai up to around Umm Al Quwain. Temperatures will also drop, reaching a high of 33°C inland and 30°C on the coast. "Chance of convective clouds formation may be associated with rainfall over the sea and some northern eastern areas and fresh winds, reaching 50 kmph at times causing blowing dust and sand and causing rough sea in the Arabian Gulf from the period 6.45am until 11am Monday," said the warning from the National Centre of Meteorology. It will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in the Sea of Oman. The risk of rain will remain all week in the north and east, said NCM.
