UAE weather: Dubai and Abu Dhabi set for hot and dusty Thursday

Wind could pick up sand in exposed areas

Weather conditions in Dubai on Thursday will be mostly clear and sunny with a moderate breeze.

Temperatures are due to peak at 42°C shortly after midday, accompanied by winds of up to 25kph.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi promises a similar day of clear skies and light breezes.

Temperatures are predicted to be slightly cooler, reaching 41°C in the afternoon, with lighter winds of about 19kph.

The National Centre of Meteorology is predicting fair conditions for the UAE in general, but predicted a chance of some mist forming in the morning.

Moderate winds could pick up sand and dust in exposed areas, especially in western parts of the country, it said.

The Centre said humidity will increase by night.

Night time temperatures could drop to around 34°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the course of Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning.
