UAE residents woke to a sticky start to Wednesday, as humidity hit nearly 80 per cent on the coast. Humid conditions will be accompanied by a rise in temperatures, said forecasters at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The mercury will hit a high of 39°C in Abu Dhabi and 37°C in Dubai, but it will be even hotter inland, with temperatures of up to 42°C. The weather will be fair, partly cloudy and hazy at times. Winds will be light to moderate, becoming gusty at times. Conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman. Thursday will be "rather hot" during the daytime, NCM said, with temperatures hitting 40°C in Abu Dhabi, signalling the start of a run of very warm weather. Similar conditions are expected throughout the weekend and into the third week of Ramadan.
