Caravan owners have been allowed to resume beach getaways in Dubai from Thursday. Officials in the emirate said Al Sufouh Beach, also known as Palace Beach, was open for business under a new permit scheme. The initiative allows caravan owners to camp on the beach, located just off King Salman bin Abdulaziz Street, for up to 15 days. So far, only one beach has been included in the scheme but more are expected to follow. The system had been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. “Beachgoers must obtain an online camping permit provided through the Dubai Municipality website,” Dubai Media Office announced on its Twitter page.
