56,000 sea bream fingerlings released in Sharjah

This is the fifth batch of fingerlings to be released by Al Hamriya Municipality and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment as part of an initiative to enrich marine life in the area this year.

SHARJAH // Fifty-six thousand sea bream fingerlings have been released in Khor Al Qorm.

This is the fifth batch of fingerlings to be released by Al Hamriya Municipality and the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment as part of an initiative to enrich marine life in the area this year.

Mubarak Al Shamsi, head of the Al Hamriya Municipality, commended Dr Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and the fishermen association in Al Hamriya for their efforts towards marine biodiversity.

Fishing has been banned in Al Hamriya Creek until an effective system to police offenders can be established, reported Aletihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National.

Electoral College Victory

Trump has so far secured 295 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press, exceeding the 270 needed to win. Only Nevada and Arizona remain to be called, and both swing states are leaning Republican. Trump swept all five remaining swing states, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, sealing his path to victory and giving him a strong mandate. 

 

Popular Vote Tally

The count is ongoing, but Trump currently leads with nearly 51 per cent of the popular vote to Harris’s 47.6 per cent. Trump has over 72.2 million votes, while Harris trails with approximately 67.4 million.
