Emirati sisters came to the rescue of three men trapped inside a grocery store in Ras Al Khaimah after an exterior wall collapsed, blocking their escape.
Rescue crews were later called to the Al Sanafi food and vegetable store in the Mua'ridh area of RAK, close to the Noura bint Sultan High School for Girls.
An Emirati man and two Asian workers were blocked in the store when a wall of cement blocks and iron rods collapsed in on them, trapping them inside at about 10.30am on Thursday morning.
Passers-by responded to their pleas for help, calling the emergency services.
The two sisters aged 25 and 31 helped pull the men from the rubble, before RAK Civil Defence crews arrived to secure the building.
No serious injuries were reported.
