ABU DHABI // A group of 36 Emirati Etihad Airways cadet pilots have started an aviation training programme in Dublin.
Based at College Ireland Aviation Services, in Weston Airport, the programme will provide aviation-focused English language training to the pilots.
During the three-month course the cadet pilots will be living with Irish host families.
Irish ambassador to the UAE, Patrick Hennessy, said: “I warmly welcome the new programme launched by Etihad Airways and College Ireland in the framework of their strategic partnership.
“This initiative underlines the significant cooperation between Etihad Airways and Ireland.”
