Scam emails claiming to be from energy drink brand Red Bull have reached the UAE, the company has warned.
The emails from people posing as senior employees at the Austrian company claim to offer recipients an easy way of making extra money.
The victims, who are told they will be paid between US$400 (Dh1,460) and US$600 a week in exchange for driving with a vinyl advertising sign wrapped around their car, are duped into giving up their personal data, including their vehicle details. They are then tricked into wiring money through Western Union.
