ABU DHABI // Abu Dhabi Police have arrested eight suspects whom they accuse of breaking into vehicles in the capital and stealing items inside.
Stolen goods included money, electronic devices, mobile phones and wallets containing bank cards. Police say they formed a team to investigate following reports of the thefts to various police stations.
Col Ahmed Al Muhairi, acting director of the Capital Police Directorate, said vehicle owners should not leave their vehicles unlocked and their belongings in visible places. Owners should also make sure their car alarms are functioning properly.
Such incidents can be reported by calling 800 2626 or 999, Col Al Muhairi said.
