Eid prayers will be held on Thursday morning at 8am at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and at Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, which confirmed the timings in a statement ahead of Shawwal 1, 1442, also said that it called on all worshippers to adhere to existing preventive and precautionary measures that had been approved by the authorities. It said adherence to the rules was in the interest of public safety. The National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority said earlier that Eid prayers would be limited to 15 minutes. The approved mosques are permitted to open 15 minutes before Eid prayers begin. People aged 60 and over and under the age of 12 must not attend, officials had previously stated.
