DUBAI // St Andrews could reopen on Sunday on a temporary basis to give parents time to consider the choices facing them and their children.
This was one of a number of options discussed at last night's meeting attended by parents, officials and staff.
Head teacher Barbara Blake said: "If the staff are prepared to come into school with me on Sunday, which I think they would do, we could merge classes together as best we can for a very short time."
Parent Christian Gueco: "Our immediate concern is our children and their special educational needs. We and the teaching staff are now looking into options for getting the school up and running again."
A therapist who was among those who lost their jobs in the closure said some former members of staff would be helping parents by providing treatment for their children at home.
Parents wishing to enrol their youngsters in new schools were assured that St Andrews would be able to issue the necessary transfer certificates. However many schools in Dubai are reluctant to take special needs children.

WHAT ARE NFTs?
