ABU DHABI // Nine public schools across the emirate are taking part in a pilot programme to identify and nurture gifted and talented students.
Schools are in the process of selecting students and will provide activities addressing their unique academic needs as the year progresses.
A workshop will also be offered for parents to help them learn how to recognise and support gifted and talented children.
“Parents of gifted/ talented students are our partners in helping these students develop to reach their potential, which represents a tremendous resource for our country,” said Dr Mona Alameri, acting division manager of the Special Education Division for Abu Dhabi Education Council.
“By working in partnership with parents, we can help these students to achieve at the highest international levels and become the leaders of the future.”
