More than Dh1 billion has been invested in private education in Sharjah.
Khalid bin Butti, an assistant director general at Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said this week that there were 140 private schools worth Dh1.26bn.
Mr bin Butti urged all investors in the private education sector to turn to innovative ideas that would further improve the standard of education in the emirate.
"This is an excellent opportunity to have businessmen and educators interact and share ideas on the best way to boost education, and give a brighter future to the children."
