The Ministry of Education is continuing the Arabic-focused National Reading Campaign at schools across the UAE with events, competitions and story time until Thursday.
The campaign was launched at the beginning of last month.
Events, including reading contests and workshops, are designed to promote Arabic as a mother tongue and improve vocabulary.
A book donation drive for Syrian children has also been organised.
Volunteer groups from the Emirates Red Crescent and Nation’s Pride Volunteers Union will help organise story time events.
