Competition to name newborn Houbara

  • English
  • Arabic

Schoolchildren will have the chance to name the first chick to hatch this year as part of a Houbara bustard breeding programme.

Pupils can submit their entry on the International Fund for Houbara Conservation’s Instagram page, @Haboor_World, in the form of a picture of themselves holding their suggested name on a plaque or by visiting the organisation’s website.

The group will also collect entries at schools across Abu Dhabi as part of its workshop.

The winner will be announced on March 16 and will receive an iPad Air.
