The Canadian University of Dubai has joined forces with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to offer financial support to low income students.

Under the bank's Sharia compliant financing, students will be given flexible, low rate repayment options.

Top students will also be given the opportunity to take part in the bank's leadership programme and its executive speaker series. In return, the university will offer bank employees discounted rates on bachelor's and master's degrees, for which they can study part time.

Waheeb Khazraji, the head of human resources at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, said: "This agreement comes in line with our commitment to support education in the UAE and make it accessible to all, as it is considered an essential element in supporting the economic growth of the country."
