ABU DHABI // More than 1,000 hard copies of the Abu Dhabi Education Council’s private schools and guidance manual published in Arabic will be distributed to private schools, school owners, investors and government offices. An English version will be made available soon. “The policies not only protect each individual student, but also provide a legal basis for all aspects of the private school sector,” said Hamad Al Dhaheri, executive director for Adec’s private schools and quality assurance sector. “I urge all private schools to adhere to this manual, and encourage members of the community to familiarise themselves with the different regulations involved for the benefit of our youth.” The manual, which consists of 22 chapters and 81 policies, elaborates on existing regulations for Abu Dhabi’s private schools released last year. “...The manual is suitable for diverse school curriculums, since the principle of continuous development is standard among all schools,” Mr Al Dhaheri said. “We expect immediate compliance from all schools.” The public may access the e-book through the Adec portal.
