ABU DHABI // In preparation for public high schools in the emirate launching a revised curriculum when they resume in August, Abu Dhabi Education Council has organised curriculum overview meetings for 902 subject coordinators.
They were given an overview of the modified curriculum, with its structure, tracked changes and rationale. The pedagogy overview regarding increasing pupil engagement, innovation and creativity was also highlighted. Coordinators were asked to provide feedback on potential teacher and student challenges, areas of high-priority support, as well as recommendations in terms of professional development and documentation.
Adec had recently announced that it would introduce the modified curriculum across grades 10 and 11 in public schools.
