Dubai weather hits mid-forties as Ramadan approaches

Winds and temperatures will drop on Friday before the heat hits on Saturday

Winds are expected to drop over the weekend but don’t pack your beach bag just yet. Temperatures will be an average of 5°C cooler in the north of the country on Friday but will rise sharply on Saturday.

Uncharacteristically heavy rain fell in Fujairah on Thursday with more expected in the north-eastern areas of the country over the weekend.

Temperatures will reach up to 45°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and 46°C in Ruwais. Evenings will be perfect patio weather, with lows of 26°C in Abu Dhabi, 27°C in Sharjah and 24°C in Ras Al Khaimah.

Seas will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. Skies will be partly cloudy across the country.

Those looking to prolong the good winter weather should head to Fujairah and the east coast, where temperatures will average 31°C.
