Dubai to get seven new bus routes and two metro links



Seven new bus routes, including two metro links, have been introduced in Dubai to meet growing demand for public transport.

The Roads and Transport Authority said it will also improve 24 other routes as of Tuesday by adding more stops.
"Seven new routes will be opened to serve metro and bus riders including two metro station link bus service, namely Route F19A and F19B," said Mohammed Al Hashimi, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA.

These two routes will serve the Business Bay district and pass through several hotspots in the area and will be running at 10-minute intervals every day except Friday.
The new routes include Route 25, which will serve Al Qusais Industrial and Airport Terminal 2 via Damascus Street at 20-minute intervals.

Route 95 will travel from Gold Souq Bus Station to Dubai Waterfront at Jebel Ali via Sheikh Khalifa Street and Al Jafiliya Metro Station and will pass through Sheikh Zayed Road, Ibn Battuta Metro Station, Jebel Ali Industrial before terminating at Jebel Ali Waterfront.
The service will run daily at 60-minute intervals.
