DUBAI // Firefighters extinguished a car that had caught fire in the Ras Al Khor industrial zone on Sunday.
The 2012 model, silver Mazda was left parked on a slip road of on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road when it went up in flames.
A young man, believed to be in his early 30s, was seen running from the car before the incident, reported Al Ittihad, the sister newspaper of The National.
Police are investigating what caused the blaze.
Dubai Civil Defence said there were 31 reported vehicle fires this summer, said most of which were caused by electrical glitches.
