A driver jailed for two years for running into a man on the Palm Jumeirah had his appeal rejected yesterday.
The Pakistani gardener RS, 37, swerved off the road and hit a tree and two lightpoles before running into NJ, who was outside a villa.
The driver then began fighting with a second man, SH, also 37, from Pakistan. Last August, the Dubai Criminal Court found the gardener guilty of assault and permanently injuring the man he hit with his car, and guilty of assaulting the second man.
He will be deported after serving his prison term.
