DUBAI // A man accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in Bur Dubai has been cleared of all charges.
SP, 26, from Sri Lanka, was accused of attacking the woman as she walked home alone on May 15 this year.
Prosecutors said he and two friends, who were never arrested, grabbed the woman before groping her and stealing her mobile and Dh1,350 cash.
When the men ran off, the woman found a police patrol and reported the incident.
The officers searched the area and arrested the Sri Lankan.
However, the Criminal Court acquitted him.
