Dh700 million hospital to be built for Dubai

DUBAI // A Dh700 million hospital is to be built in Dubai by Mediclinic Middle East.

The Mediclinic Parkview Hospital will be located between Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, and is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2018.

Similar to the Mediclinic City Hospital, the facility will take up 500,000 square feet and will initially have 150 beds and six operating theatres.

At capacity it will employ more than 800 staff, and offer in and outpatient services.

“This new hospital will bring the same level of service and treatment that our patients have come to expect from Mediclinic’s hospitals in Dubai Healthcare City and Al Garhoud, but in a far more convenient location for those living in ‘New Dubai’,” said David Hadley, chief executive of Mediclinic Middle East.

“At an approximate cost of Dh700m, this project represents Mediclinic Middle East’s most substantial investment in the UAE health- care market to date, and is testament to our confidence in the country’s economy and continued growth.”

The company also plans an oncology clinic for the new wing of Mediclinic City Hospital, which is due for completion by the middle of next year.
