A salesman has been charged with stealing Dh300,000 from his employer and sending it back to his home country.
Prosecutors told Dubai Criminal Court that M X, 26, from China, took Dh250,000 from a drawer at the shop where he worked in March last year. He also took Dh50,000 from a fabric sale.
Businessman W C told the court that after he discovered the theft, “M X told me that he was in desperate need of the money and wired it to China”. He said the salesman had returned the stolen money.
The next hearing is May 31.
