Dubai's highest court overturned the acquittal of a businessman accused of issuing Dh121.5 million in bad cheques. The Emirati issued five cheques to an Islamic finance company to buy 20 plots of land.
He owed Dh371.5m but paid only Dh250m. Five cheques covering the balance bounced.
