Dewa starts work on Dh65m project

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has begun work on a Dh65 million project to increase the efficiency and reliability of water transmission networks.

The project will provide infrastructure capable of meeting all development requirements, including the supply, installation and testing of surge protection devices in 13 pumping and transmission stations in areas such as Jebel Ali, Mushrif, and Hatta.

The new system will absorb variations in water pressure in the network through devices installed in pumping stations. The project is expected to be completed by June 2016.
