DUBAI// A 21-year-old man failed to appear in Dubai Criminal Court to face a molestation charge after he allegedly squeezed a woman’s breast as he cycled past her.
Prosecutors told the court Pakistani MA was cycling in Jumeirah 2 on July 9 as 45-year-old TQ from Ghana was walking to a shop.
“I bought some stuff then I started walking back home but before I entered I heard a man calling “Madam, madam”, so I stopped,” said TQ.
She said that before she knew what was happening, the man squeezed her breast and cycled away.
“‘What are you doing, I will call the police’, I screamed at him,” said TQ.
The woman returned home, got in her car with her daughter and drove around the neighbourhood looking for her attacker. When they found him and said they were calling the police “he asked for forgiveness,” said TQ.
A verdict is expected on April 30.
