DUBAI // A tourist today denied assaulting a taxi driver and stealing his money.
A fight broke out when the two men were quarrelling about the taxi fare, the Dubai Criminal Court heard. JC, a 29-year-old Briton, is alleged to have pushed the driver to the ground, breaking his arm in the process, as well as insulting him and stealing Dh600. The 42-year-old Jordanian taxi driver YA also denied assault charges related to the incident.
The next hearing was scheduled for July 15.
