A South African doctor accused of killing a three-year-old cancer patient has been released on bail after paying Dh100,000 and turning in his passport.
Cyril Karabus, a paediatric oncologist, will appear before the Criminal Court again on November 20.
Prosecutors say the doctor failed to provide a blood transfusion to the Yemeni patient and that he later falsified a report to hide his mistake, making it appear as though the transfusion had taken place.
