Man robbed of almost Dh50,000 of company’s money by hookers is jailed

Salesman was having sex with one prostitute while the other stole his money, Dubai court hears

A man who was robbed by one prostitute as he had sex with another has been sentenced to six months in jail for sex outside wedlock.

The 28-year-old Pakistani salesman called police on March 8 last year to report that he had been robbed and, during police questioning he revealed that he was lured by a Ugandan prostitute offering sex for Dh20 as he was en-route to transfer money for his company.

The man said he worked for a company in Al Satwa area and had been sent by his manager to transfer Dh47,000 to Pakistan but he took a detour after the woman winked at him.

“I knew she was a prostitute, so I asked her for sex and we agreed on Dh20 then went along with the other prostitute to their apartment nearby and had sex,” said the man.

After leaving the apartment he noticed that the money was missing and he presumed he had dropped it. H retraced his steps back to the apartment and did not find it.

“I realised I had been robbed so I called the police,” said the salesman.

Police arrived and apprehended the man before arresting the two women later the same day.

The Ugandan women, both 26, were charged with prostitution and theft and were deported immediately. It was not clear whether the money was retrieved or not.

The salesman was convicted of having sex outside of wedlock and will be deported after serving his jail term.
