Police in Dubai have arrested a man for pouring a corrosive liquid over four cars owned by his ex-fiancee and her family. CCTV footage of the victims’ residence in Al Quoz showed the man, wearing a motorcycle helmet to conceal his face, dousing the vehicles with an unknown chemical. Officers were later able to trace his accomplice who was also caught on camera during the incident. "The CCTV footage of the victims' residence showed masked perpetrators on motorcycles pouring chemical liquids over the cars before fleeing the scene," said Brigadier Abdullah Khadem bin Suroor. "During the interrogation, the offender confessed to his crime and said that he committed the crime with the help of two friends. "He justified his criminal deeds as a revenge to a dispute over some money and gifts that his ex-fiancée refused to return when they had broken the engagement.”
