DUBAI // An Emirati police officer was sentenced to five years in prison this morning for forcing an underage girl to have sex with him in his car near a public park.
The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance ruled the 21-year-old, AH raped a 14-year-old Emirati girl in September after picking her up from a salon in Al Twar area.
"I am not guilty… I didn't rape her," AH told the court.
The girl said she was with a friend at the salon when AH called her and ordered her to meet him outside. She said he threatened to to drag her out of the salon of she didn’t come out willingly.
When she did, he drove her away, then raped her, she testified.
She said she remained in her room for three days afterward, but eventually told the housemaid what happened, and the maid told the girl’s mother.
