Abu Dhabi Municipality told Al Wathba and Al Nahda residents during a community meeting on Wednesday that facilities such as a school would be developed “urgently”.
The municipality said there were plans to build two public parks, a hospital, a veterinary hospital, two community markets, three commercial outlets, 17 mosques and a petrol station.
Residents also demanded residential land plots, lighting and public hygiene measures.
Musabbah Al Murar, acting general manager of the municipality, said it sought to identify and serve residents’ needs.
