FUJAIRAH // A new hall at the culture, youth and community development centre in Fujairah has been called Al Shohadaa Hall – Martyrs’ Hall – in memory of the Emirati soldiers who died in the line of duty in Yemen.
Sultan Malieh, the centre’s manager, said the idea came about during a regular staff meeting last month and everyone present agreed on it.
“We have all decided that the new hall should be called Al Shohadaa Hall in memory of the fallen soldiers,” he said.
“This is the least we can do. Our soldiers have sacrificed their lives and this is part of our appreciation and pride.”
The hall will open on November 30 for a function that will also honour the families of Fujairah’s fallen soldiers.
