What could be easier than shooting a picture of children enjoying themselves in a playground? All that excitement and movement must lead to good pictures. Here, in Fujairah, staff photographer Silvia Razgova goes in exactly the opposite direction. She stops the action perfectly, bringing a sense of calm and stillness to the image. The girl nearest to us is slightly separated from the other three and also looks straight into camera, seeming to hold our gaze for longer than is possible on a swing. Going opposite to what you might expect sometimes turns a good picture into a great one.
