Sometimes we insert ourselves into an artistic situation without knowing it. This gentleman sitting looking at his phone outside the Iranian Club in Dubai became a perfect visual anchor for a study in geometry, with his posture and the curve of an arch counterbalancing the straight lines and 90-degree angles of the right side of the frame. The clean space in between locks the two different elements together in a classic example of negative space creating visual tension.
