When photographing in a dark environment, using a slow shutter speed allows more light into the camera, but will also create a blur in movement.
Staff photographer Antonie Robertson, who took this photo of a man walking up a temporary stairway at DIFC in Dubai, said of the picture: “It was about finding a balance between the shapes and the light and then injecting the right amount of movement to guide the eye into the frame.”
