RAS AL KHAIMAH // Firefighters rescued children trapped in cars in two separate incidents over the weekend.
Al Ittihad, the sister newspaper of The National, reported that the first incident involved children who had been locked inside a car in Al Julan.
The children were rescued safely after firefighters broke the car’s window.
The second incident took place in Al Thayt, where a girl was trapped in a vehicle. Upon receiving the report, teams managed to remove the girl, who was also unharmed by her ordeal.
RAK Police is investigating both cases.
On Sunday, Dubai Police revealed that 58 children — some as young as 1 — had been rescued from locked cars this year.
