Cartoon stars to visit Adnec



ABU DHABI // A cast of cartoon characters will take the stage during the last week of the Summer in Abu Dhabi festival.

The show, Cartoonival, will run from July 21-29 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) and includes personalities from the children's television channel Cartoon Network, such as the stars of Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory.

Tickets are available online at boxofficeme.com for Dh150 and Dh75 for children under 12. Children under two are admitted free. Customers buying two tickets will get a third for free.

The characters featured in the shows are meant to appeal to children between seven and 12 years of age.

Summer in Abu Dhabi, which opened last weekend, includes a fun zone with a "Smurf World" and twice-daily shows by SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and others. Tickets are Dh20 for children under 12 and Dh40 for adults. The festival runs from 3-9pm on weekdays and 2-10pm on weekends. More details at www.summerinabudhabi.ae.
