DUBAI // A businessman who molested an employee during a work trip has been jailed for a year.
The worker, 20, was asleep in a hotel room when his boss A A, 46, from Saudi Arabia, got into his bed, forced him on to his stomach and sexually assaulted him.
“I tried so hard to resist him but he is too big and heavy, I couldn’t push him off,” the worker said.
His boss then took away his stained clothes, hid them in a bag and threw it out of the window to hide any evidence of the attack on July 2 this year.
The boss told the worker that if he reported the assault, he would in turn accuse him of theft.
The worker ignored the threat and went to Naif Police Station but was followed by his boss, who told officers the worker had stolen Dh5,000.
Police visited the hotel and found the bag and the worker’s clothes, which had traces of DNA that matched the boss.
The boss denied sexual assault at the Criminal Court but was found guilty. He will be deported after serving his prison term.
