British resident and visiting compatriot took cocaine, court told

One of the defendants, a 30-year-old UAE resident, is additionally charged with facilitating consumption of cocaine by his compatriot, a 26-year-old tourist.

DUBAI // A British man used cocaine but he did not share it with a younger compatriot, a court has heard.

“I am guilty of consumption but I didn’t facilitate anything to my countryman,” said the expatriate, 30.

Police received a tip off about him and a UK tourist, 26, and they were arrested on July 30 this year.

The next hearing is scheduled for November 29.
