SHARJAH // An 11-year-old boy has fallen to his death from a high rise in Sharjah. Sharjah Police said that the British boy died after falling from the eighth floor of a building in Al Majaz area on Wednesday.
The boy, identified as HMH is of Yemini origin, police added. The police operations room informed about the incident at 6pm on Wednesday and dispatched emergency crews and officers to the location. The boy died on impact and the body was taken to police forensic lab for autopsy, police said.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and questioned family members of the deceased.
According to police, the initial investigation suggests that the boy may have committed suicide, however an investigation is still ongoing.
