SHARJAH // A five-year-old boy has died after falling from his family’s 12th floor apartment.
The child had been left at home by his mother, as he slept, while she dropped his sister to her school bus.
The mother heard of her son’s death from a neighbour before realising it was her child, police said.
The incident took place in Al Qasimiya and the boy died at the scene.
Police urged people, especially parents, to watch their children at all times and ensure windows are always shut.
