DUBAI // A blackmailer who convinced a man to send him naked pictures of himself before threatening to post them online must see-out his one-year jail term, the Court of Appeal ruled.
In April this year the Dubai Criminal Court heard how Emirati AA, 35, met Tunisian KM, 33, on Instagram.
“He claimed he was a woman and sent a picture of a naked woman,” said AA.
“He asked pictures of myself naked. I refused but later sent pictures and asked him to delete them,” AA said. However KM refused.
Two weeks later, KM threatened to send them to AA’s contacts on LinkedIn.
“I reported him to police,” said AA. KM was arrested on December 7 last year.
Prosecutors said six images of AA naked were found on KM’s iPhone.
KM will be deported after completing his sentence.
