Atlantis, The Palm broke two Guinness world records by displaying the highest and largest amount of flame projections during a music concert. The first record was for breaking the highest flame projection; the minimum for this record title is 35 metres. The second record was for launching simultaneous flame projections during a music concert; the minimum for this record title is a total of 66 heads. The concert was performed by Gene Simmons "and his flamboyant hard rock quartet". The performance was viewed by a global audience of two million. "Enthralled guests at Atlantis, The Palm watched the performance in a socially distanced fashion from the comfort of their own balconies – witnessing history being made and records being smashed as they kicked off a brand new era," a press statement said.
