ABU DHABI // More than 2,000 Emiratis have been given plots of land for building homes in Al Ain.
The plots are all 1,080 metres squared and are located in Al Khureir near Al Bawadi Mall.
The distribution of the land to 2,182 citizens is the fulfilment of President Sheikh Khalifa's orders over the past two years.
The property department at Al Ain Municipality have yet to hand over a further 115 plots that have yet to be claimed by their prospective owners.
The department has formed a team to contact these owners and gather the required documents for completing the handover.
