The Ruler of Ajman has commended Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) for its humanitarian work, the state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid, who spoke at a recent meeting with ERC’s chairman, applauded ERC officials for their efforts in helping refugees and displaced persons in disaster areas.
More than Dh728 million was spent by ERC on humanitarian, developmental and relief programmes – inside and outside the country – from January to November this year.
Of this sum, Dh178m went to local projects.
