Emirates Airlines has launched it first service to the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul.
The first flight touched down at Kabul International Khwaja Rawash Airport at 1.15 yesterday afternoon.
On board the inaugural service was Dr Najibullah Mojadidi, Afghanistan ambassador in UAE, Atiqullah Atifmal, Afghan consul general in Dubai and Yousif Ali, UAE ambassador to Afghanistan among others.
The service will leave from Dubai daily at 09.55am and arrive in Kabul at 1.15 pm.
The return flight leaves Kabul at 3.30pm and arrives back in Dubai at 6 pm.
Emirates Airlines now flies to 138 destinations around the world.
