Abu Dhabi Police's Forensic Evidence department helped solve 1,286 cases last year, reported Al Ittihad, The National's Arabic-language sister newspaper.
The force’s Document Examination Section also uncovered 551 cases of money counterfeiting in 2013.
Colonel Abdel Rahman Al Hammadi, head of the Forensic Evidence Department, said his team possess “the most advanced forensic evidence department in the region, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and technologies, for the analysis and examination of prints and biological waste and DNA testing.”

Electoral College Victory
